Best perfumes for Women

There are thousands of perfumes, but before we round up the best perfumes for women, let’s ask some curious questions.

How many perfumes should a woman own?

How many is too much?

Is there anything as too many perfumes?

I have asked this question and had answers ranging from single numbers to tens and even hundreds.

While beauty and self-care opinions may differ, I believe Perfumes are the one product everybody should own.

Secondly, nobody needs hundreds of perfumes. Perfumes aren’t undies, no need to change them every day.

Nobody needs perfumes they can’t even identify if they smell them on someone else.

Finally, everybody needs one signature perfume or a few signature perfumes.

A woman who doesn’t wear perfumes has no future

Coco Chanel

I won’t go that far, Madame Chanel, but I won’t argue.

I love good perfumes; they’re sexy, they’re hypnotizing, they persist and linger around long after their wearer is gone, and they’re intoxicating and seductive.

Perfumes can be whatever we want them to be, and there are so many of them to choose from, so much so that picking one can be overwhelming.

Luckily, we’re rounding up the hottest, most sexy, most coveted, and the best luxury perfumes for her to make your choice easy.

Dolce $ Gabbana, the Italian powerhouse of luxury, starts our list with this exotic scent. Looking for summertime perfume? This could be it. Made of tropical fruits and sensual flowers, It has a sweet feminine composition, and Dolce & Gabbana combines exotic fruits and sensual flowers to create a deliciously feminine mix that is captivating in L’imperatrice.

Like typical Italian perfumes, I like that L’imperatrice has a stronghold and stays on for a long time.

9. Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent

First of all, I am a fan of YSL beauty products, the French luxury house designed this floral coffee scent for today’s women. I like to say the bottle and packaging are mysterious and imposing. Black opium eau de parfum is chic, elegant, and very seductive. It deserves to be on any list of luxury and best perfumes for women.

It is urban and, at the same time, rock n’ roll.

He likened this fragrance to the strength and addictiveness of coffee, for the power icon and independent woman.

Looking for a signature perfume for your professional or formal outings? I recommend Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium. #BossLady

8. Irresistible by Givenchy

This is the first time I have tried a Givenchy beauty product, and I love it.

Think charm, femininity, soiree, seduction, and letting go.

Irresistible is rosy and fruity, and soft, with a sparkly touch of pear.

You know where this is going, right? If you’re shopping for perfume for your night outs, add to your cart.

7. Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia by Gucci

As far as fragrances go, Italy is known for luxurious, long-lasting, and iconic perfumes such as Versace, Bulgari, and Gucci.

Talking about Gucci, Miley Cyrus was strategically chosen as the face of this campaign, and its significance cannot be farfetched. Gardenia is for the free-spirited, full of positive energy, and joyful. This perfume is an homage to the fantasy power of the gardenia flowers used in enchantments and magic.

Side note: I love that the bottle is made with the typical Gucci design: colorful flowers and a gold top, almost over the top.

6. Gabrielle by Chanel

Named after and inspired by the late Gabrielle Coco Chanel herself, this perfume is made for the elegant and free woman, one who asserts herself and one who radiates. Chanel makes some of the most outstanding and coveted perfumes out there, and Gabrielle is one of those.

I had tried this perfume at the store right before an outing, and I kept getting questions about it, so I went back and bought it. It’s made up of four different flowers and is intensely feminine.

I especially love the floral notes, but the honey color and bottle design are not a bad bargain either. It’s on the pricey side of perfumes, though.

Love floral notes, and don’t mind the price? Then buy yourself a Gabrielle by Chanel.

5. Miss Dior by Dior

Miss Dior is one of my personal favorites; The packaging is gorgeous; the pink color, the bottle, and the embroidering on the bow.

This fragrance is breathtakingly beautiful; it smells of roses and stays on for a long.

It has a mature and warm smell. Miss Dior is also my favorite Dior perfume at the moment( it used to be J’adore by Dior).

I’ll describe this as a feminine and floral luxury.

4. Mon Guerlain Sparkling Bouquet by Guerlain

I got this one right after its launch in early 2021, and I’ve gone back for another bottle. It smells fruity, fresh, and light.

Mon Guerlain isn’t the most popular perfume out there, and that’s a shame because it is pure delight. Think of vanilla, jasmine, lavender, and sandalwood mix. Sandalwood is relaxing, lavender is intoxicating, Vanilla is sweet, and jasmine is sensual.

Guerlain says it’s the aura of a radiant woman, a multifaceted woman embodied by Angelina Jolie and today’s femininity.

This could be your perfect daily perfume for winter because it is mine.

3. COCO Mademoiselle by Chanel

COCO Mademoiselle by Chanel

Oh, Channel, never overrated, only underrated.

Twenty years after its release, COCO Mademoiselle is still very worthy of the top spot.  A feminine oriental with a strong character and yet surprisingly fresh.

Coco Mademoiselle is that perfume I keep in my collection all the time. I love its packaging; apart from the channel bolding written on it, it would seem rather minimalist but classy. I also appreciate that it comes in different sizes too.

COCO Mademoiselle is not my everyday perfume but an occasional beauty. Its simple mix of orange and patchouli can seem normal at first, but as it grows on you, its perceived flaws become its strength: It is versatile and can be used for any occasion; it is common, but it’s timeless, and it is Chanel.

2. Sun di Gioaio by Giorgio Armani

Another Italian luxury at its finest, Giorgio Armani says he made this for the authentic and natural woman. if you love any perfume from the “Acqua di Gioia” collection, you’ll love this.

Few Italian perfumes in my collection, and this made the list. This amber floral tribute to the sun, inspired by a Mediterranean island, contains Iris, one of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery. I love that it contains vanilla which is a natural ingredient.

So, if you’re looking for a summer perfume that radiates a rich, authentic, and happy emotion, here you go.

1. LIBRE by Yves Saint Laurent

Libre by YSL
LIBRE by Yves Saint Laurent

This is about the perfume, but I must start by saying the YSL logo, designed by Adolph Mouron Cassandre, is undoubtedly one of the dopest luxury logos out there. I saw it spread across the bottle and was instantly attracted. That was well before the floral lavender scents sealed the deal.

Libre means free in French, and this perfume was made for a free and daring woman. It’s a mixture of orange blossom and lavender. I recommend it as an everyday perfume since it has a long-lasting and feminine smell.

So there you have it; our ten best perfumes for women.
